The New Year's Resolution is requiring 100% electronic script submission. All competitors with prepared speeches must complete the script submission process.
Script Submission Opens: Monday, December 11
Early Script Submission Deadline: Thursday, December 28 at 11:59 p.m. CST
Regular Script Submission Deadline: Tuesday, January 2 at 11:59 p.m. CST
Script Submission Corrections Deadline: Sunday, January 7 at 11:59 p.m. CST
Students must submit all scripts by January 2 to avoid being dropped from an event and charged drop fees.
You will receive a confirmation email once your script has been received and approved. Please save a copy of this confirmation email on your phone or print it out to have with you at Check-In.
Early Script Submission Prize Drawing! Each script submitted by December 28 gives one entry into a drawing for one of two prizes. Check out the prizes at the bottom of this page!
How to Submit Scripts Electronically
1. Follow the rules for your speech event that can be found here.
2. Follow the script submission guidelines and use forms found here. Watch this eight-minute video for help! See other helpful resources below.
3. Combine each speech into a single PDF file. See resources below.
4. Name the file correctly: Last Name, First Name-event.pdf
5. SUBMIT SCRIPTS HERE.
6. Correct or Celebrate! If your script is returned for corrections, complete any requirements in a timely manner. Otherwise, it is time to celebrate your approval! Scripts must be fully approved (with no corrections needed) by no later than January 7.
